LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Thank you for visiting with us. Whether you are a newcomer or a long time resident you live in the best town there is.
On the town level, your Republican party has always nominated, supported, and helped elect those candidates who were best qualified and would act in the best interests of all Pound Ridge residents. Our commitment to the best interest of our Town is foremost; to this extent we have, on occasion, nominated, supported and successfully elected non Republican candidates.
On the county, state and federal levels we are committed to support and work for Republican candidates. And, I am proud to say, we have had recent strong victories.

In the November '09 town elections our Republican slate swept to victory by comfortable margins. Rob Astorino also decisively captured the County Executive position. In a February 2010 special election Bob Castelli was elected to the State Assembly from our 89th Assembly District. Republicans continued their strong gains in November 2010 with the election of Nan Hayworth to Congress, Greg Ball to the State Senate, and the re-election of Bob Castelli to the State Assembly. In the recent 2011 election, the Republican town board candidates all ran unopposed. While our district candidate for County Legislature was unsuccessful, Republicans successfully ended the Democrat's super-majority in the County Legislature by picking up additional seats county-wide.
We are excited by our future Republican prospects. The political tide is currently strong in our favor we must take advantage of that and continue to work energetically to elect Republican candidates. 2012 will be a very important year as US Rep.Nan Hayworth, NY Assemblyman Bob Castelli, and NY Senator Greg Ball are all up for re-election. In addition, Republicans will look to re-claim a US Senate seat as well as the Presidency.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of getting involved. As a small town, the results of our efforts are that much more magnified. Individual efforts have significant impact. Our collective efforts contributed to the election of all the elected officials you see pictured here. So, if you want to help, or have any comments, suggestions, or even criticism, please feel free to give me a call at 764-1552, or feel free to e-mail me at chairman@poundridgegop.com.
Thanks,
Joseph Zaino
